January’s Core Value: Communitcation

Communication – Human beings as well as animals cannot live without communication. The Covid-19 pandemic taught us that humans are social animals. Millions of people suffered from depression during the pandemic as we were unable to socialize and communicate with our loved ones, friends, and co-workers. At LVBZ, communication is a foundational value. We cannot have any kind of community without it. When we communicate with each other at LVBZ and with our guests, we exchange meaningful dialogue to build and strengthen our relationships. For instance, researchers communicating with each other led to the discovery that the venom of the Brazilian Social Wasp, a member of the bee family, can kill cancer cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed (McIntosh, 2015).
